Secondary - Flipped Classroom
During my time at Mount Jordan Middle school, I've been working on trying to differentiate my instruction. With time constraints unique to secondary classrooms, I struggled with the ability to re-teach content, monitor student practice, and extend lessons for other students. My solution was to flip my classroom and bring the practice inside the classroom while moving the direct instruction home. While this is still a work in progress, I have been pleased with my ability to check each student's understanding during class and perform error-intervention immediately. In addition, I've been able to build in activities where students have the opportunity to apply the math skills they've practiced.
Introduction to My Flipped ClassroomAll content information is available through CANVAS. Students have a daily agenda in each Module with the video content, the comprehension check, the practice exercises, and the learning tasks for enrichment.
